Good evening everyone, I hope your week is going well.  I just received an email from Hilton Grand Vacations where you can get a 3 night stay in Orlando or Las Vegas + 50,000 Hilton Points for $199.  Part of the offer requires attending a 2 hour timeshare presentation (please see the terms and conditions before booking).  I’m not sure if this matters, but I am in California, I have Hilton Diamond Elite Status, and I have an American Express Hilton Honors Aspire Credit Card.  Here is the email I received from Hilton Grand Vacations:

Attend FTU Virtual Seminar on Saturday, October 2 ($25) or Free with Online Annual Membership

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend.  If you have no plans this Saturday (October 2), I highly recommend attending the FTU Virtual Seminar (tickets available for $25) or free if you have the FTU Online Annual Membership.  The seminar starts on Saturday, October 2 at 8am PT / 11am ET.  I have attended all of the FTU Virtual Seminars over the last year and they are always well done, educational, and entertaining – and I am sure this seminar will be no exception!  Here is the schedule and lineup of speakers.

If you register for the seminar on Saturday, but are unable to watch the live stream, you can access the recording of the seminar and watch later on.  This is also a great way to re-watch your favorite presentations and catch any details that you originally missed.

$179 CLEAR Credit Posts Quickly on American Express Business Platinum Card

Good morning everyone.  A few months ago, I wrote American Express Business Platinum Card Changes: $179 CLEAR Credit & Centurion Lounge Guest Access Policy when AMEX introduced the $179 CLEAR Credit on their personal and business Platinum Cards.  Last month, I wrote My CLEAR Experience: Reactivating Membership, Adding Family Member, & Airport Biometric Process where I explained the issues regarding reactivating my old/dormant CLEAR membership and my wife’s experience with the airport biometric process (it was pretty easy at the Seattle airport).  CLEAR gave me a 2 month trial period in order to get our CLEAR accounts set up and my charge finally went through last week.  I wanted to document the process and show how quickly the CLEAR credit posted on my American Express Business Platinum Card.  The $179 CLEAR Credit shows up in the benefits section of your personal or business Platinum Card and does not require activation.  The benefit says that the statement credit will appear 2-4 weeks after your CLEAR membership is charged to your card.

Are Points Posting Slower from Barclays Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Credit Card? [Fixed Now]

Updated on 10/8/21 at 11:45am PT: I believe this issue is fixed now.  My recent statement closed on October 5 and my Wyndham Rewards Points posted to my account on October 6.

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your week is going well.  I’ve written a few posts about the new Barclays Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Credit Card over the last few months including this recent article: More Barclays Business Credit Cards Bugs & Finance Charge / Interest Fee Errors.  I may have discovered another issue with Wyndham Rewards Points posting very slowly from Barclays to your Wyndham Rewards account.

As you can see, I received 716 points on 9/21/21.  Before September, my points would post between the 5th and 8th of every month, usually 1 day after my statement closes.  The description also changed from “Barclays Earning” to “Barclays Marketing, Advertising, Utilities Earning”.
