More Barclays Business Credit Cards Bugs & Finance Charge / Interest Fee Errors

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your week is going well.  A few weeks ago, I wrote Barclays Business Credit Cards Now Visible on App & Website (Along with Bugs and Earner Grow Card).  Since then, there have been other issues / errors with Barclays: PSA: Check Barclays Accounts For Erroneous Foreign Transaction Fees and Some Barclays Wyndham Earner Business Cardholders Being Charged $149 Annual Fee (Should Be $95).  These seem to be growing pains for Barclays as they bring business credit cards onto their personal website and app platforms.  Unfortunately, it looks like I can add one more issue to the list: finance charge / interest fee errors.  Let me explain…

I received the following email regarding my Barclays Wyndham Rewards Business Earner Credit Card statement.  The amount was for $145.13 and payment was due on September 30.

3 Buy Miles / Points Promos Ending Soon: Southwest (30%), Alaska (10%) & IHG (100%)

Good afternoon everyone, happy Friday!  I was working on my Buy Miles & Points Page and found 3 offers that are ending in the next few days.  Always check the math to make sure that buying miles & points makes sense for you.  Do not buy miles & points speculatively unless you have a use in mind.  With that said, here are 3 offers that end soon.  Up first, Southwest Airlines is offering a 30% discount, on any purchase of Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Points.  This offer expires on September 5.

Tomorrow: Alaska Airlines 2 for 1 Flight Vouchers @ San Francisco Giants Game

Good morning everyone, happy Labor Day Weekend.  If you live near the San Francisco Bay Area and want a discounted Alaska Airlines flight, listen up.  Tomorrow, Saturday, September 4, the San Francisco Giants are giving out 2 for 1 flight vouchers on Alaska Airlines to the first 40,000 fans in attendance.  Alaska Airlines (and previously Virgin America) are big sponsors of the San Francisco Giants and do this giveaway every year – I wrote about this promo in 2017, 2018, and 2019.  If you want to get cheap tickets to the game, check out StubHub, SeatGeek, or Gametime.  If you cannot attend the game, I am sure you will be able to find these vouchers on eBay shortly after the game.

How to Use Home Depot Store Credit for Online Purchases

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  Long story short, I bought a few things at Home Depot, forgot to return them within the standard return period, and ended up with $175.86 in Home Depot store credit.  I figured Home Depot store credit would be easy to use, like a regular Home Depot gift card, but boy was I wrong.  I ran into the issue when I tried to buy some outdoor patio furniture slipcovers online.  When I entered the Home Depot store credit information into the gift card payment field, I got an error message saying “We’re sorry. Home Depot store credit can only be used in stores. Please use a different payment method.”  Dang, Home Depot took “store credit” very literally.  After some persistence and a visit to my local Home Depot store, I was able to use my Home Depot store credit for an online purchase.  Keep reading to learn more.
