Chase Hyatt Credit Card Holders: 40% Bonus on Points Purchases

Our Chase Hyatt Credit Card may not be the one we pull out of the sock drawer very often, but it looks like Chase and Hyatt are doing their best to change that. Recently, my Chase Hyatt Credit Card came out of hiding for the $20 off $50 Whole Foods deal, and now with this promo, I’ll take a look at my Hyatt hotel schedule. This deal may be a good one for some of us to use, as well. For instance, when you buy 10,000 Hyatt points, you will get a 40% bonus.  14,000 Hyatt points for $240 is just under 2 CPP.

Most of my favorite Hyatt properties are 15,000 points a night and well over $240 a night, so I’m considering jumping on this offer. How about you? Any interest in this deal or has Hyatt left a bitter taste in your mouth these days with all their elite status changes?

$20 Statement Credit Posted Quickly for Chase Hyatt Credit Card / Whole Foods Market Promo

Good evening everyone.  A few days ago, Chase Hyatt Credit Card holders were sent a promotional email where they could earn a $20 statement credit by enrolling in the promo and spending $50 or more at Whole Foods Market with their Chase Hyatt Credit Card.  The promo was pretty simple and seemed like an easy $20.  I made a qualifying purchase in-store and received the $20 statement credit a few days later.

Review: Taste of France Gift Box from the World of Hyatt

Did you catch the offer from World of Hyatt called Try The World? Hyatt wants to “connect us to the people, places and experiences at the heart of our world.” Their Try The World concept involves a “box of the month” filled with foods and ingredients from all across a specific country. I decided to give this Try The World a go, and ordered the first three boxes. The total cost was $105, so that’s $35 a box. I’ve never subscribed to a box of the month club before!

Amazing Stay at DoubleTree Arctic Club Hotel in Seattle (Historic Building Built in 1917)

Good afternoon everyone.  Two weekends ago, my girlfriend and I had the pleasure to stay the beautiful and historic DoubleTree Arctic Club Hotel in Seattle, WA.  According to the hotel’s bio, the Arctic Club is a “AAA 4-Diamond Award-winning hotel in Seattle, WA. This tastefully decorated hotel in Seattle, WA offers a unique experience, echoing the post-Klondike gold rush days of the early 1900s.” According to Wikipedia, the Arctic Club was built for the Arctic Club in 1917 for the successful veterans of the Klondike Gold Rush and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.  Needless to say, this is not your average DoubleTree hotel (but they did have chocolate chip cookies on demand at the front desk).  I spoke with the front desk agents a few times during my stay and they were very helpful and friendly.  As we were checking out, the front desk agent told me that the hotel would most likely transition into a Conrad Hotel in the near future.  In this post, I will share my experience staying in the hotel.  I hope you enjoy the hotel review.

Has the Dalai Lama Stayed at your Home Hotel? He Stayed at Mine!

Have you ever wondered which hotels famous people, dignitaries, or important international figures choose to stay in? I don’t usually ponder these questions, but recently, I had an experience that DID get me wondering. I hope you’ll enjoy this story about His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama, staying at MY home hotel.

I’ve seen the Dalai Lama in person twice. Once was 20 years ago when he gave a talk in NYC. Then I saw him again 6 years ago when he gave a talk at the University of Hawaii. Earlier this year, the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) reached out to the Dalai Lama and asked if he’d give the commencement speech at graduation, and much to everyone’s surprise and delight, he accepted this invitation. So in mid-June, the Dalai Lama was in San Diego.
