Good evening everyone.  Since Black Friday and Cyber Monday are right around the corner, several airlines are running buy miles/points promos now – 2 even end tonight!  I have all the latest offers on my Buy Miles & Points Page.  Always check the math to make sure that buying miles & points makes sense for you.  Do not buy miles & points speculatively unless you have a use in mind.  With that said, here are the 7 promos that are ending in November. First up, United Airlines is running a mystery offer with up to 70% bonus miles, depending on the number of United Airlines miles you purchase.  This offer ends tonight – November 20.

PSA: Link Loyalty Programs to American Express Membership Rewards Before You Need to Make an Urgent Transfer

Good afternoon everyone, happy Friday!  A few days ago, I needed to book an award ticket using Avianca LifeMiles, but I didn’t have enough LifeMiles in my account.  Luckily, American Express recently added Avianca LifeMiles as a Membership Rewards transfer partner.  I thought it would be an easy 1-2-3 process of adding my Avianca LifeMiles account to Membership Rewards, transferring Membership Rewards Points to my Avianca LifeMiles account, and booking the Avianca LifeMiles award ticket.  Unfortunately, Membership Rewards was not able to add/verify my Avianca LifeMiles account right away.  The first thing I did was to sign into my Membership Rewards account and click on the Avianca LifeMiles tile.

Which Airlines Offer Free Wi-Fi?

I don’t think much about free inflight WiFi. I’m usually the flyer you see who works on the plane and then rushes into the lounge for WiFi so I can send off my work and then retrieve anything I might need to handle on my next flight. Of course, I grab some coffee and water from the lounge too, but I digress. Recently a friend sent me an email letting me know he’d have WiFi on his flight so he would work on our project in-flight. He was flying JetBlue and mentioned they had free inflight WiFi. Having not yet flown on JetBlue, this got me thinking. Continue reading →
