How to Transfer IHG Points for Free to Other Accounts (Only for Diamond Elite & Business Rewards Members)

Good afternoon everyone, happy Valentine’s Day!  I started working on this post about 2 months ago, but totally forgot to finish.  Stephen at Frequent Miler wrote a post about transferring IHG points for free to other IHG members, but only if the member sending the IHG points was an IHG Diamond Elite Member or if they were an IHG Business Rewards Member.  Laura and I are both IHG Platinum Elite Members (thanks to having the Chase IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card), but Laura was able to become an IHG Business Rewards Member easily online (I have been an IHG Business Rewards Member for at least a year).

To get started, she signed into her IHG online account and went through the process to become an IHG Business Rewards Member.  Continue reading to learn more about transferring IHG points to another member and how long the points transfer took.

I Finally Got A Bilt Credit Card (Application Process, Earning & Redeeming Strategy, and Unboxing)

Good morning everyone, I hope your weekend is off to a great start.  The Bilt Credit Card has been around for a few years, but I never thought the card was for me.  I haven’t paid rent since 2017 and earning 3x on dining, 2x on travel, and 1x everywhere else didn’t excite me.  That was until I read Frequent Miler’s post: How Nick built his own Bilt bonus. I finally understood that I could use the Bilt Credit Card without paying rent and still get excellent value from the card.  I will explain my earning and redeeming strategy below.  But first, let’s go through the application process.  Here is the front and back of my shiny new Bilt Credit Card.  The card has a very premium look and feel to it, but has no annual fee.

Welcome Back TWG Subscribers – I Fixed My Newsletter!

Good evening everyone, I hope your week is going well.  A few days ago, I noticed that my newsletters were not being sent out to subscribers.  After doing some digging, I found out that the last 2 newsletter emails that went out were on November 3 and December 19.  I’m not sure what happened to the newsletters for all of the other days :/

I fixed the issue, so my newsletters should be scheduled to go out at 5pm PT every day that I have a new post.  Scroll to the bottom of the post to see a list of all the blog posts you may have missed if you haven’t visited my site in the last few months.

Test Driving MaxRewards App: Load Same AMEX Offer to Multiple AMEX Cards

Good evening everyone.  A few weeks ago, a friend of mine told me about the MaxRewards app.  The app has a ton of cool features, but the feature that was the most interesting to me was the ability to load the same AMEX Offer onto multiple AMEX credit and charge cards.  Back in the day, you could open each AMEX card in its own tab, scroll down to the AMEX Offers section and add the same AMEX Offer to each and every AMEX card that had the offer.  Unfortunately, AMEX killed that trick and now you can only load the AMEX Offer to 1 AMEX card, no matter how many AMEX cards you have that display the offer.  Once the offer was loaded to the first card, it could not be loaded to any more cards.

This is where MaxRewards comes in.  They have the magical ability to load the same AMEX Offer onto all of your AMEX cards that display the offer.  For example, if you have 6 AMEX cards that all display the same Office Depot AMEX Offer, MaxRewards is able to add the offer to all 6 AMEX cards.  Here is how it works.
