Good morning everyone, happy Friday! A few weeks ago, I was approved for the American Express Delta Platinum Business Credit Card and wrote Delta TakeOff 15 Benefit (15% Award Travel Discount) Available within 24 Hours of New Credit Card, But Cannot Use on Existing Award Ticket Reservations. The credit card was sent to me via UPS Next Day Air and came in a well-designed box with the welcome letter and benefit inserts. I wanted to do an unboxing to show you what to expect when you receive your new credit card.
Here is the front and back of the credit card. It has the same feel as an American Express Business Platinum Card, but the front is a dark purple-grayish color.
Here is what the UPS Next Day Air envelope looked like. It got a little beaten up along its journey from AMEX to me.
Inside the envelope, there is a well-designed box that contained the credit card, welcome letter, and benefit inserts.
The card is prominently displayed when you open the box and the welcome letter and benefit inserts are at the bottom of the box.
Here is the welcome letter that has the credit card cardmember agreement, rates and fees.
The last 2 pages contain info about bonus miles and MQMs.
Here are the benefit inserts that describe the features of the credit card.
The 2 best features (in my opinion) are the TakeOff 15 benefit that gives you 15% off Delta award tickets and the Companion Certificate that can be used on 1 domestic flight each year (available after you pay the annual fee each year).
Earn 3x Delta SkyMiles with Delta flights, Delta Vacation Packages, and directly at hotels. Earn 1.5x on purchases of $5,000+.
Free checked bags for you and 8 companions on the same delta reservation, along with priority boarding. $100 TSA PreCheck or Global Entry credit ever 4 years.
Status Boost and MQD waiver along with the ability to pay with Delta SkyMiles (5,000 miles = $50).
Add up to 99 employee cards for no annual fee.
I just completed the minimum spending requirement and am patiently waiting for the sign up bonus to post to my Delta account. I don’t have an immediate use for the Delta SkyMiles, but I look forward to using the TakeOff 15 benefit a few times over the next 12 months. If you have any questions about the American Express Delta Platinum Business Credit Card, please leave a comment below. Have a great weekend everyone!
