Final Month Review: Calculate Progress Toward Chase Freedom Q3 Restaurant Spend

Good morning everyone, I hope your weekend is off to a great start.  Last month, I wrote 3 Ways to Calculate Progress Toward Chase Freedom Q3 Restaurant Spend.  In that post, I showed how to calculate restaurant spend on your Chase Freedom Credit Card to see where you stand regarding the $1,500 Q3 bonus spend limit.  Over the last few weeks, I made a few large restaurant purchases, so I wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to far above the $1,500 bonus spend limit (all restaurant spend after $1,500 only earns 1% cash back or 1 Chase Ultimate Reward Point per dollar).

I logged into my Chase online account, went to my Chase Freedom Credit Card, clicked on Blueprint and looked at all my restaurant purchases over the last few months.  If you are unfamiliar with Chase Blueprint, click the link above to see step by step instructions.  I added up all the monthly totals for restaurants and I am currently at $1,671.95.  Depending on your statement due date, you may want to adjust your July restaurant total if you made restaurant purchases in June (I only made restaurant purchases after July 1 on my Chase Freedom Credit Card).

How to Purchase New Apple iPhone 7 with Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card

Good evening everyone, happy Friday (aka Apple iPhone 7 / 7 Plus pre-order day)!  In this post, I will show you step-by-step instructions on how to purchase a new iPhone 7 using your Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card.  Unfortunately, this credit card is not currently accepting new applications, but hopefully Citi / AT&T bring in back in the near future.  The sign up bonus on this credit card is great – purchase a new AT&T phone and get reimbursed up to $650.  Luckily or unluckily, the new iPhone 7 is a little more expensive than $650, so I will get the full $650 statement credit.  In July, I shared some info about the AT&T Credit Card card art and earning details, but if you want to learn *absolutely everything* about this credit card, please read Doctor of Credit’s post: All you need to know about Citi AT&T $650 Phone Offer.

To purchase your new iPhone 7 with your Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card, log into your Citi online account and go to your Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card.  You should see a little box with a View Offer link.  Click that link to get started.

PSA: Do not Activate your 12 New Gogo Wifi Passes from your US Bank FlexPerks Visa Signature Credit Card Immediately

Warning: Read this entire post before doing anything with Gogo, otherwise you will make the same mistake I did!

Good evening everyone, I hope you had a great Labor Day Weekend.  Tonight, let’s talk about complimentary Gogo Wifi passes.  I just received an email from Gogo about my 12 new complimentary Gogo Wifi passes that come annually with my US Bank FlexPerks Visa Signature Credit Card.  There are many FlexPerks credit cards from US Bank, but this is the only FlexPerks credit card that *currently* comes with this cardmember benefit (I suspect other FlexPerks credit cards will add this feature soon).

To see when your current Gogo Wifi passes expire, sign into your Gogo Wifi account.  I don’t fly on Gogo-equipped aircraft very often (I’m a Southwest Airlines flyer), so I only used a few of my Gogo Wifi passes over the last year.  All of my current Gogo Wifi passes are set to expire on October 22, 2016.

To make sure you do not miss this email, the subject line is titled, “Important details about your Visa Gogo In-Flight Wi-Fi Benefit” and the email sender is “gogo@e.gogoair.com“.  If you did not receive the email, it might be related to when you originally signed up for the Gogo Wifi passes last year.  Based on the expiration date of my current Gogo Wifi passes, the email comes around 6 weeks before expiration.

Poll Question: Which Weekend Trip Reports do you Want to Read?

Good morning everyone, happy Labor Day!  I’m sure everyone is off on their own adventures today, but I wanted to get some reader feedback.  I’m about 1,000 years behind on trip reports, but I am going to try to catch up by covering a few weekend trips that I have taken over the past couple months.  I’m not a huge fan of writing or reading trip reports, but I know there are some weirdos normal people out there that do enjoy them.  Without further ado, please vote up to 3 times on the weekend trip reports you want to read.  If you love all trip reports, just choose that option.  If you hate all trip reports, just choose that option.  Thank you for your feedback and opinions!  The list is ordered by most recent at top.

If you have any questions about any of the weekend trip reports mentioned above, please leave a comment below.  Have a great Labor Day – safe travels everyone!
