$25 Walmart eGC Retention Offer for Cancelling my Sam’s Club Membership (AKA Disable Auto Renew)

Good morning everyone, I hope your weekend is going well.  A few days ago, I got an email reminder from Sam’s Club that my membership was auto renewing on March 5, 2022.  I signed up for Sam’s Club last year since there was a targeted offer on my Discover It Credit Card where you would get a $45 Sam’s Club gift card when you signed up for a Sam’s Club membership, which costs $45 (see Doctor of Credit’s post).  I went once to Sam’s Club to activate my membership, get my membership card, and pick up my $45 Sam’s Club gift card (which I used the same day shopping).  I haven’t been back to Sam’s Club since because the closest location is 50+ miles away and I prefer the Costco location 2 miles away.

Long story short, I needed to cancel (or disable the auto renew feature on) my membership so I would not be charged again.  I called Sam’s Club, explained the situation, and the rep sent me a $25 Sam’s Club / Walmart eGC that could be used to offset the membership cost, if I decided to stay with Sam’s Club.  I will document the process below.

Good morning everyone, happy Friday!  Today marks the beginning of the Winter Olympics and ExpressVPN is running a great promo for new members.  There is no end date listed, so I expect the promo to run through February 20 when the Winter Olympics end.

ExpressVPN normally offers a 1 month free trial when you become a member, but during this promotion, you can get 3 months free when you purchase a 12 month plan.  I have been using ExpressVPN since November 2016 and I love their desktop, laptop, and mobile app.  With data breaches occurring on a weekly basis, I think it is very important that we do our best to protect ourselves when we are online, whether that is at home or on the road.

Receive 12 Free Gogo WiFi Passes with US Bank Altitude Reserve Credit Card (Activate by March 31, 2022)

Good afternoon everyone.  I was just reviewing my recent credit card statement from my US Bank Altitude Reserve Credit Card when I spotted this update in the Important Messages section.  Firstly, “Google Inflight Wi-Fi benefit” is actually a typo, since it is Gogo, not Google.  Secondly, the benefit of 12 free Gogo wifi passes every year is ending on April 1, 2022, so the last day to activate this benefit is March 31, 2022.  I will walk you through the steps to activate this benefit and receive your 12 free Gogo wifi passes.

Upcoming In-Person FTU Events: Chicago (Feb 19-20), Los Angeles (Mar 12-13), New York (Mar 19-20) & Dallas (Apr 2-3)

Choose a New Design for your Discover It Credit Card – 159 Colorful Options Available

Good afternoon everyone.  I just received an email from Discover letting me know that I can select a new card design for my Discover It Credit Card and Discover It Miles Credit Card.  I currently have the standard (aka boring) card design shown above, so I was curious to see what card designs were available and find out if any of the card designs spoke to me.  Let me tell you, I was very impressed by the 159 colorful card design options and had a hard time picking my favorite.  In this post, I will show you a small sample of the various card designs to get you inspired.  As a reminder, changing the card design does not change the credit card number or expiration date, and you can keep using your current credit card until you receive and activate your new credit card.
