3 Bay Area Meetup Events between February 15-20 (Super Duper Burger, WeWork & In-N-Out)

Good morning everyone.  Yesterday, I flew from Dublin to San Francisco (DUB-SFO) on Aer Lingus in economy (gasp!) and I am getting back to my usual postings.  I am excited to announce a few new Bay Area meetup events for the near future.

For President’s Day Weekend (and Valentine’s Day), I will be taking the California Zephyr‎ Amtrak from Denver to Emeryville (Oakland/SF) with a few travel hacker friends from Denver/Boulder (creators of the Front Range Travel Hackers Meetup Group).  They wanted to do a little meetup on President’s Day (February 15), so if anyone is in SF and wants to talk miles and points, come join us.  We are going to Super Duper Burgers on Market Street (located between Montgomery and Powell Street BART stations).

  • Where: Super Duper Burgers, 721 Market St, San Francisco, CA 94103 (Google Maps)
  • When: Monday, February 15 @ 12-2pm

Hotel Review: Hilton Molino Stucky Venice (Diamond Status & Lounge Access)

Good evening from Dublin (and my last night in Europe).  Here is a hotel review for my second to last hotel in Europe… the Hilton Molino Stucky Venice.  Before I show you pictures of the hotel room and canals of Venice, I will show you how to get from the airport to the hotel.  First things first, all the info I used was found here.  You need to take the ATVO airport bus to the “water bus terminal” (P.le Roma).  The airport bus costs €8 one way or €15 round trip per person.

Here are driving directions, but the bus takes the same route.  The trip takes around 25 minutes and the ATVO bus leaves the airport and “water bus terminal” pretty frequently.

Hotel Review: Hilton Munich City as Diamond Elite Member (Executive Lounge + Nearby S-Bahn Station)

Good evening everyone, greetings from Venice, Italy.  Here is a quick hotel review from my short 2 night stay at the Hilton Munich City.  After we landed, we took the S8 S-Bahn train from the airport to the hotel.  The Hilton is within steps of the Rossenheimer Platz station (Google Maps) and costs €10.80 for a one way trip.  I used Hilton HHonors points for one night and my Hilton Free Weekend Night Certificate for the other night (thanks to the Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve Credit card and the $10,000+ spend I put on the card).  Check-in was very easy and I was excited to see what being a Hilton Diamond felt like for the first time.  I got a nice room on the 5th floor and access to the executive lounge on the 6th floor.

Photos of Nice, France (Beautiful Beaches) and Monaco (Monte Carlo Casino)

Good evening everyone, greetings from beautiful Venice, Italy.  Before I share my experience of the Hilton Molino Stucky and the city/canals of Venice, let me share some pics of my visit to Nice, France, and Monaco.  To me, Nice is all about the beaches and you can see how beautiful they are from these 2 images below.  The first image was taken near the Radisson Blu Nice and the second image was taken near Castle Hill.

Hotel Review: Radisson Blu Nice, France (Convenient Access to NCE Airport and Monaco)

Good afternoon everyone, here is my latest hotel review of the Radisson Blu Nice.  The hotel is conveniently located a short distance from the NCE Airport.  There are buses that run from the airport to a bus stop across the street from the hotel, but it was late and we decided to take an UberX for under €10.  Here are directions via Google Maps.
