How to Access Citi Flex Loan on Citi Credit Cards (Instant Cash Advance for 9.99% APR)

Good afternoon everyone, I just saw this new feature on my Citi online account.  Citi introduced a new feature called Citi Flex Loan (learn more here) where you can basically get a cash advance up to your available credit limit.  If you need a higher credit limit, you can Easily Request a Credit Limit Increase (No Hard Pull) via the Citi App.  I am not saying this is a good idea, but I wanted to share the details with you in case you were interested.  After I logged into my Citi online account, I saw this big banner above my Citi Double Cash Credit Card.  I decided to check it out by clicking the View Offer button. FYI, my total credit limit is $7,700, but my current available credit limit is $7,685.87.

Expecting an Ebates/Rakuten Quarterly Payment? Choose an eGift Card with up to a 15% Boost [Updated with Redemption Process]

Updated 7:45pm on 5/1/19: I decided to redeem my cash back for a Nike eGift Card.  Scroll to the bottom of the post to see the redemption process.

Good afternoon.  Last year, I wrote a similar post: Expecting an Ebates Big Fat Check? Get up to a 20% Bonus with an eGift Card Instead! I decided to do an updated post with May’s quarterly payments.  I just got the following email from Ebates / Rakuten with an option to select an eGift Card with a boost of up to 15% vs. waiting for my Big Fat Check to arrive in the mail.  Let’s see if those eGift Cards are good deals and which merchants are offered.  I clicked the See All E-Gift Cards button in the email.

Happy 6 Year Blogiversary to TWG! To Celebrate, I Booked my First Trip to Asia!

Good morning everyone, I hope your week is going well.  I am happy to share that Travel with Grant is now 6 years old!  I can’t believe this blog has been around for 6 years.  Boy, has the time flown by.  I don’t have any gifts to give away today, but I did want to share an upcoming trip to Asia that I am in the middle of planning.  This will be my first ever trip to Asia (I know, what took me so long??).  I am not going to the typical Asian countries.  These are the cities/countries I am visiting:

  • Beijing, China (PEK) (28 hour layover)
  • Yangon, Myanmar (RGN) (1-2 days)
  • Dhaka, Bangladesh (DAC) (1-2 days)
  • Paro, Bhutan (PBH) (1-2 days)
  • Kathmandu, Nepal (KTM) (1-2 days)

Easily Request a Credit Limit Increase (No Hard Pull) via the Citi App

Good morning everyone.  I stumbled on this a few days ago when I was using the Citi app to check on my Citi credit cards.  I found out that you can request a credit limit increase instantly through the Citi app and there is no hard pull (which would affect your credit score).  All 3 of my credit reports are frozen and I was able to request credit limit increases on all 5 of my Citi credit cards (and all 5 requests were instantly approved).  Here’s how… Sign into the Citi app, select the credit card you want to request a credit limit increase, and then click the Expand button beneath the card art.

When Does the Annual Fee, Travel Credits, & Sign Up Bonus Post to the US Bank Altitude Reserve Credit Card?

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  Last Thursday, I got 2 emails from US Bank regarding my credit card statement and a travel credit that posted to my US Bank Altitude Reserve Credit Card.  I got this credit card in my March App-O-Rama and wrote about Unboxing my US Bank Altitude Reserve Visa Infinite Credit Card: Card Art, Brochure & Welcome Letter last month.  I’ve been hard at work meeting the $4,500 minimum spend requirement to get 50,000 US Bank FlexPoints and was hoping the sign up bonus would post on my first credit card statement.  In this post, I will show you when the annual fee posts, when your travel credits will post, and when the sign up bonus will post to your account.
