Up to 30% Off Starbucks, 15% Off Chipotle, 10% Off Panera & More!

We all like to save money, and there are many portals and cash back apps that routinely offer 1%, and sometimes 5% or more depending on how you use them.  One place I spend way too much time at is the remote office, aka Starbucks. I can get a lot of work done there with the free WiFi and a nice leather chair. OK, I have that at home too but Starbucks is easier.

I don’t like paying for Starbucks though. There are many ways to save money here, I have bought discounted Starbucks gift cards, or loaded my Starbucks card with Bank of America promotions and saved money, used Chase Pay, etc. The problem is these are all typically one time offers or limited time deals.

My drink usually runs roughly $3, if I bring my own mug. Using the methods I listed above and joining the Starbucks Rewards program helps to offset the list price. Recently, I discovered another program that seems to be here to stay and saves me literally 33% per day, or $1 off each time I buy my drink. Continue reading

6 Wyndham Timeshare Vacation Packages Under $200 (3 Days / 2 Nights)

Good afternoon everyone.  I have a short post about Wyndham Timeshare Vacation Packages.  Right now, there are 6 different vacation packages available under $200.  Each timeshare vacation package is 3 days / 2 nights.  According to the terms, you must attend a 120 minute timeshare presentation (and if you are married, your spouse must attend as well).  I have done a few timeshare vacation packages in the past and have a Westin Mission Hills Resort in Palm Springs and Hyatt Carmel Highlands timeshare package booked for the near future.  Timeshare presentations are not terrible and the great vacation packages will save you hundreds of dollars.

American Airlines Checked Bag Fee Class Action Settlement (Claim up to $200)

Disclaimer: Do not fill out the claim form if you do not qualify for the class action lawsuit – that is against the law.

Good afternoon everyone, if you paid for checked bag fees on American Airlines, you might be able to claim up to $200.  According to Top Class Actions, “If you traveled on American Airlines between July 13, 2013 and June 7, 2018 and were charged checked baggage fees that were inconsistent with the company’s baggage fee policy, you could get money from the class action settlement.”  Just because you flew on American Airlines between those dates and paid a checked bag fee, does not make you eligible for this settlement.  You are only eligible if you booked a flight on American Airlines that stated you were getting free checked bags, but when you showed up at the airport, American Airlines made you pay to check your bags.  According to Top Class Actions:

“AA drafted each contract that it enters into with each of its passengers. The contracts include AA’s promises to provide air travel for a price, and to provide other benefits, such as transporting a certain number of the passenger’s checked bags for no additional charge,” the American Airlines class action lawsuit claimed. “However, AA failed to honor its checked bag promises in the standardized software system that AA uses to determine whether passengers must pay for checked bags when they check in at the Airport.”

Updated 8/3 at 6am: Here are the 2 winners, selected at random:

  • Brent Young said, “Keep handy window cleaner, and leather cleaner to protect your seats (if you have leather). Riders love a clean car. As a driver, I don’t accept rides that are more than 8 min away (in suburbs). In the city I would not accept anything greater than 5 min away. I have not worked rural areas yet. Tend to lose money on all others that take longer to get to.
  • Michael H said, “ALWAYS Be polite.
