US Bank Business Triple Cash Credit Card Application Process & Welcome Documents

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your week is going well.  2 days ago, I wrote Capital One Spark Miles Business Credit Card Application Process & Welcome Documents.  2 weeks ago, I also applied for the US Bank Business Triple Cash Credit Card.  My application was not instantly approved, so I called the US Bank business credit card application status / reconsideration department and asked if I could move some credit from my existing US Bank business credit cards in order to be approved for my new credit card.  The rep said that US Bank did not reallocate credit limits and when I called on October 7, the rep said the credit department was still working on applications from October 1, so 6 days behind.  6 days later, on October 13, my application was approved.

Here is what the front and back of the credit card looks like.  I am not a fan of the mixture of vertical and horizontal elements on the front of the card; and the back of the card looks to simple and a little boring.  It also looks like there is something missing from the bottom left corner on the back.  In this post, I will share details of the application process and the welcome documents I received from US Bank.

AMEX Chat Reps Cannot 100% Confirm Eligibility for New Credit Card Sign Up Bonus

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  A few weeks ago, I was planning on applying for the American Express Marriott Bonvoy Business Credit Card.  As of October 18, the current sign up bonus is 125,000 Marriott Bonvoy Points plus 2 Free Night Certificates (up to 50K Points / Night) after spending $5,000 in 3 months.  I have never had this specific credit card before, so now seemed like a great time to pick up this credit card with an increased sign up bonus.  Before I applied, I reached out to American Express via their online AMEX Chat feature to see if I was eligible.  I will explain more below, but long story short, the AMEX Chat rep said I was eligible, but the AMEX popup said I was not eligible.

Capital One Spark Miles Business Credit Card Application Process & Welcome Documents

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your weekend is off to a great start.  2 weeks ago I applied for the Capital One Spark Miles Business Credit Card.  I haven’t had a personal or business Capital One credit card in many years (despite submitting a few credit card applications over the years).  I decided to give Capital One another chance since they recently improved the transfer ratios to almost all of their transfer partners to 1:1 (1,000 Capital One Miles = 1,000 airline miles).  This time, my Capital One application was instantly approved!  In this post, I will share details of the application process and the welcome documents I received from Capital One.

Should You Upgrade to the US Bank Altitude Go Credit Card?

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your week is going well.  I just received this email from US Bank letting me know that I could upgrade my US Bank Cash Plus Credit Card to the US Bank Altitude Go Credit Card.  You might get a targeted email like the one below, but if you do not, you can always call the phone number on the back of your US Bank Cash Plus and ask to product change to the US Bank Altitude Go.  Let’s see if the upgrade makes sense.

American Express Changes: No Cash Advance Fee for Precious Metal Coins, Bullion, and Digital Precious Metals Products

Good evening everyone, I hope your weekend is going well.  I was just reviewing my recent American Express statements and saw a few changes regarding cash advance fees, earning bonus points on meal-kit delivery services, losing points when you close an account, late payment fees and the Centurion Lounge Guest Access Policy.  The most interesting change is regarding cash advance fees.  Effective October 1, 2021 (aka now), “precious metal coins or bullion and digital precious metals products” are no longer considered as a cash advance, so those purchases should earn points, miles, and cash back.  This is great news if you buy coins from the US Mint (to keep or resell).  As you might remember, American Express added precious metal coins or bullion and digital precious metals products to their definition of cash advance effective January 15, 2021.  It is good to see American Express changing their mind regarding precious metal coins and bullion.
