How to Book your Club Carlson Free Night Certificate Worldwide Hotel Stay

Good evening everyone, hopefully your week is off to a great start.  A few days ago, I wrote US Bank Club Carlson Visa Signature and Business Cardholders Receiving Free Night E-Certificate (Different from Anniversary Night Certificates).  In that post, I determined (thanks to reader comments) that everyone who has a US Bank Club Carlson credit card was going to receive a free night certificate (my letter is below).  More interestingly, the free night certificate mentioned in the letter is not related to the $10,000 annual free night certificate (which is only valid in the United States, boo).  Today (only 2 days later), I received an email with my free night certificate information.  In this post, I will show you how to book your Club Carlson free night certificate at any Club Carlson hotel in the world.

Should you Downgrade to the No Annual Fee US Bank Club Carlson Rewards Visa Credit Card?

(Hat Tip to Mike for the idea)

Good morning everyone.  A few days ago, I wrote US Bank Club Carlson Visa Signature and Business Cardholders Receiving Free Night E-Certificate (Different from Anniversary Night Certificates) which showed that US Bank / Club Carlson is sending out free night certificates to cardholders.  I received a letter for my US Bank Club Carlson Premier Rewards Visa Signature Credit Card and my US Bank Club Carlson Business Rewards Visa Credit Card.  Other readers commented that the no annual fee US Bank Club Carlson Rewards Visa Credit Card also received a free night certificate.

That got me thinking… if everyone got a free night certificate, is the US Bank Club Carlson Premier Rewards Visa Signature Credit Card worth $75 more than the no annual fee US Bank Club Carlson Rewards Visa Credit Card?  If you look at the Club Carlson credit card comparison page, you will only see the 3 versions that have annual fees.  If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, click the link to view the no annual fee Club Carlson credit card.

1 Month Approval Process for US Bank Cash Plus Credit Card

Good morning everyone.  Last month, I wrote July 2015: My 8 Credit Card App-O-Rama Game Plan where I shared my thought process on my upcoming App-O-Rama.  On the list, was the US Bank Cash Plus Credit Card.  The sign up bonus is small ($100 bonus after spending $500 in 3 months), but the 5% rotating cash back categories was intriguing.  This credit card has the potential to generate $400 in cash back every year (5% of $2,000 = $100 x 4 quarters = $400 yearly).  Since I already have the US Bank FlexPerks Visa and AMEX, Club Carlson personal and business, this was the only other US Bank credit card I was interested in.

If you have never applied for a US Bank credit card or have a hard time getting approved for US Bank credit cards, I recommend Freezing your ARS and IDA Credit Reports before applying.  I have had great success after freezing both of these smaller credit bureaus.

When my App-O-Rama date arrived (July 14), I applied for the credit card…
