Good morning everyone, I hope your weekend is going well. During my Mini July App-O-Rama, I was approved for the Chase IHG Rewards Premier Credit Card (my referral link). Then a few days later, I was matched to the 100,000 IHG Points sign up bonus offer. Before the credit card arrived, I receive an email from Chase on August 1 that a new credit card was mailed to me. The email did not specify which credit card, but I figured it was my new Chase IHG Rewards Premier Credit Card.
A few days later, I received a letter in the mail, dated July 27, that I was approved for the Chase IHG Rewards Premier Credit Card, but Chase called it the INTERCONTINENTAL HOTELS GRP World Elite card. Even though I was only approved for a $2,000 credit limit and needed to spend $3,000 on the credit card to complete the minimum spend requirement, I wasn’t worried. I knew I could call Chase and have them move some of my credit limit from another Chase credit card to my new Chase IHG Rewards Premier Credit Card.
Finally, my new Chase IHG Rewards Premier Credit Card arrived. The credit card is very clean and has all the card info on the back.
My first thought when looking at the Chase IHG Rewards Premier Credit Card was that the credit card looked very similar to my Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Credit Card. Both credit card are all black, with light gray words, and made of metal (but thinner than the JPMorgan Chase Ritz Carlton Visa Infinite Credit Card).
Here is my welcome letter, showing the credit limit and cash advance limit. When I called Chase to move some of my credit limits around, I also requested that my cash advance limit be lowered to $0. On the back of the letter, it has details of my credit score at Experian. It is kind of interesting that the scoring system that was used was called “Card Acquisition Risk Score V2”.
The second page has more details of the card benefits and shows the $89 annual fee (not waived) and the no foreign transaction fees. I also requested that my payment due date be changed to the first of every month to line up with the payment due date for my other Chase credit cards.
Here is the Chase IHG Rewards Premier Credit Card brochure that explains the features and benefits of the credit card:

I applied on Wednesday July 25, but I wasn’t instantly approved. The credit card arrived in the mail on Friday August 3 via USPS First Class Mail.
