MealPal: Select Meals Under $7 (Available in Select Cities)

Good morning everyone.  MealPal is a new lunch program (available in select cities) where you pay a fixed price per meal (ranging from $6-$7, depending on your plan).  You then reserve lunch at participating restaurants, walk in during your reservation time, tell them your name, and then walk out with your lunch. I’ve been meaning to write about MealPal for months, but have never gotten around to it until now.  Luckily, MealPal has a great promotion running now.

Unboxing my Chase Marriott Rewards Business Credit Card: Card Art, Brochure & Welcome Letter

Good afternoon everyone.  A few days ago, I wrote about how I knew I was approved for a new Chase credit card before getting an email or letter in the mail.  Fast forward to now, my new Chase Marriott Rewards Business Credit Card arrived in the mail.  The credit card design doesn’t look like the card that I approved for, so I will share my theory below.  I also got the welcome letter that I will share below.  The front and back of the new credit card is metal, and looks very similar to the personal Chase Marriott Rewards Credit Card, but is not quite as thick as the JPMorgan Chase Ritz Carlton Credit Card.

How to Remove Closed American Express Credit Cards from your Online Account

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  During my recent App-O-Rama, I applied for the new American Express Hilton Honors Aspire Credit Card.  Even though I didn’t get instantly approved, I received a call from American Express asking me if I wanted to close 2 existing American Express credit cards so that I could be approved for the new American Express Hilton Honors Aspire Credit Card.  Long story short, I closed my existing American Express Hilton Honors Ascend Credit Card and American Express SPG Business Credit Card in order to be approved for the new American Express Hilton Honors Aspire Credit Card.  The decision was pretty easy to make, considering both credit cards just had annual fees post and I didn’t want to keep those credit cards another year.

Fast forward to now and my closed American Express credit cards still show up in my online account.  In this post, I will show you how to remove a closed American Express credit or charge card from your online account.  This process will work for open credit / charge cards, personal and business cards, and authorized user cards.  The first thing you need to do is log into your American Express online account.

Westin Mission Hills Resort & Villas Palm Springs Timeshare Vacation Package ($389 for 5 Days / 4 Nights + Freebies)

Good afternoon everyone, happy Friday.  If you are stuck in the cold, you might be thinking about taking a vacation to a warm, sunny destination.  Maybe Palm Springs crossed your mind with their warm, year-round climate.  Not to mention, this is the second weekend of Coachella, which is a short drive away.  I just received a timeshare vacation package offer in the mail for the beautiful Westin Mission Hills Resort & Villas in Palm Springs.  They have several beautiful photos of the resort, but here are just 2 that stood out to me.  The timeshare vacation package includes 5 days / 4 nights in a 1 bedroom villa, 2 tickets on the Palm Springs aerial tramway, and a $100 gift card to Pacifica Restaurant, a nearby restaurant serving steak and local dishes.  The cost of the timeshare vacation package?  Just $389, but if you don’t know when you want to go, a $200 down payment is all that is required.  The timeshare vacation package is addressed to me and includes a unique preferred invitation number, but if you want to participate in this offer, you can try calling or emailing the contact info on the letter.

$150 Discount Code from Alaska Airlines for a 5 Hour Flight Delay from Hawaii

Good morning everyone, happy Friday!  2 weekends ago, I was flying back home from Hawaii on Alaska Airlines.  Everything was going well until we got to Maui airport.  We were supposed to depart from Maui (OGG) at 4:15pm and land in Oakland (OAK) at 12:14am.  Unfortunately, our flight departed 5 hours later than planned.  Our inbound aircraft was coming from San Diego (SAN) and was supposed to depart San Diego at 7am.  But due to mechanical issues, that flight departed 10 hours later at 5pm (I feel bad for people on that flight who were stuck at the airport for 10+ hours).  The late inbound flight caused our flight to be delayed by 5 hours.  I was tracking both Alaska Airlines flights and here were the last flight emails I received for each flight.
