Why Did I Upgrade my Chase Marriott Bonvoy to JPMorgan Chase Ritz Carlton?

Good morning everyone.  With last week’s news about the demise of the City National Bank CNB Crystal Visa Infinite Credit Card, I needed to find a replacement credit card that offered the $100 Visa Infinite Discount Air Benefit.  With this benefit, you get $100 off roundtrip, domestic flights for 2 or more passengers on select airlines (excludes low cost airlines).  This benefit can be used an unlimited amount of times.  I used to have this benefit when I had the JPMorgan Chase Ritz Carlton Visa Infinite Credit Card, but I downgraded to the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Visa Signature Credit Card a few years ago.  The good news is that the JPMorgan Chase Ritz Carlton Visa Infinite Credit Card is still available, but only as an upgrade option from the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Visa Signature Credit Card.

3 Buy Miles / Points Promos Ending Soon: Avianca (145%), Virgin Atlantic (20%) & IHG (100%)

Good afternoon everyone.  I was working on my Buy Miles & Points Page and found a few offers ending soon.  Always check the math to make sure that buying miles & points makes sense for you.  Do not buy miles & points speculatively unless you have a use in mind.  With that said, here are 3 offers that end this week.  Up first, Avianca Airlines is offering up to a 145% bonus, depending on the number of Avianca Airlines LifeMiles you purchase.  This offer expires tomorrow – November 12.

60 Minutes Interview with JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon (2 Videos)

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  Last night on CBS 60 Minutes, there was a 2 part interview with JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon.  He talked about the economy, executive compensation (he made $31 million last year) and the recent recession.  He is the only CEO of a major bank that survived the Great Recession (he has been the CEO since 2006).  There was a lot of great info in this interview.  Unfortunately, there was no information about Chase credit cards.

Prorated Annual Fee Refund Posted After Converting Citi Premier into Citi Rewards+

Good morning everyone.  A few months ago, I converted my Citi Premier Credit Card into a Citi Rewards+ Credit Card.  My new Citi Rewards+ Credit Card arrived a few months ago and the 60 day conversion period just finished.  This morning when I was looking at my Citi online account, I noticed a $50.41 credit on my Citi Rewards+ Credit Card.  After doing some digging, I found out that this is a partial annual fee refund of the $95 from my Citi Premier Credit Card.
