Citi Costco Anywhere Credit Card Extended Warranty Benefit Ending on January 22, 2023

Good morning everyone, happy Friday.  I was reviewing my recent Citi Costco Anywhere Visa Credit Card statement and spotted this announcement at the bottom of my statement.  The announcement says: “Effective January 22, 2023, Extended Warranty coverage will be discontinued and will no longer be provided for purchases made on or after that date.”  I decided to do some digging to find out more information about the change.

How to Book a Flight with Capital One Venture X Credit Card $300 Travel Credit

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your week is going well.  A few months ago, I applied for the Capital One Venture X Credit Card because it offered a sign up bonus of 75,000 Capital One Miles (which I plan to transfer to Wyndham Rewards to book Vacasa Vacation Rentals) and a $300 travel credit for travel purchased through the Capital One Travel portal.

I recently purchased a flight through the Capital One Travel portal, so I wanted to write about the booking process and timeline from booking to receiving the $300 travel credit.

PNC Cash Rewards Business Credit Card Offering $400 Bonus After Spending $3,000 in 3 Months

Good morning everyone, happy Halloween!  A few days ago, I opened a PNC Business Checking Account (read Doctor of Credit’s post) and during the approval process, the business banker mentioned business credit cards and told me about the PNC Cash Rewards Business Credit Card.  This credit card usually has a $200 bonus, but as of now, the bonus is $400 after spending $3,000 in 3 months.  I checked Frequent Miler’s Best Business Card Offers and Doctor of Credit’s Best Current Credit Card Sign Up Bonuses and didn’t see this credit card listed, so I thought it was worth sharing.  This credit card has no annual fee and earns 1.5% cash back everywhere, so it is not a great everyday credit card, but the sign up bonus is pretty good.

Last Call for FTU Virtual Seminar on Saturday, October 29 ($25) or Free with Online Annual Membership

Good afternoon everyone, happy Friday! If you are not busy tomorrow (October 29), I highly recommend attending the FTU Virtual Seminar (tickets available for $25) or free if you have the FTU Online Annual Membership.  The seminar starts on Saturday, October 29, at 8am PT / 11am ET.  I have attended all of the FTU Virtual Seminars over the last 2 years and they are always well done, educational, and entertaining – and I am sure this seminar will be no exception!  Here is the complete schedule and lineup of speakers.

If you register for the seminar, but are unable to watch the live stream, you can access the recording of the seminar and watch later on.  This is also a great way to re-watch your favorite presentations and catch any details that you originally missed.

Discover’s Online Privacy Protection Service Found 10 More Data Records About Me

Updated at 4:00pm PT on 11/10/22: I received an email that Discover successfully removed my data records from these 10 websites.  Scroll down to the bottom to see the update.

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your week is going well.  A few months ago, I wrote New Discover Credit Card Benefit: Online Privacy Protection (Removes Personal Info from People-Search Websites).  In that post, I talked about Discover’s Online Privacy Protection service and how it works.  Fast forward to a few days ago, Discover sent me an email that they had found 10 more data records and automatically submitted opt-out requests on by behalf.  After I received the email, I signed into the Discover app and clicked on the Online Privacy Protection button.
