Reminder: OC Meetup Today (June 14) @ 12pm at In-N-Out

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all having a great weekend.  This is just a reminder that the OC Meetup is this afternoon.  Come join me and a few other miles and points collectors for some burgers, fries, miles, and points.  This past week has been a little slow on AMEX Offers and other credit card news, but we will can cover gift card reselling and other MS techniques.

2 Centurion Lounge Meetups: SFO @ 12pm and LAS @ 6pm (Saturday, November 7)

Good morning everyone.  A few months ago, I was talking to a few people at one of my Bay Area meetups and the idea of having a meetup at a Centurion Lounge came up.  Since almost everyone at the meetup had an AMEX Platinum Card, it sounded like a fun adventure.  I also spoke with Shawn @ Miles to Memories about having a meetup in Las Vegas (MGM penthouse anyone?).  A few days ago, I found cheap flights from SFO to LAS for weekend travel in November.  Since both SFO and LAS have Centurion Lounges, why not have 2 meetups in 2 Centurion Lounges on the same day?  Without further ado, here is the first meetup.

SFO Centurion Lounge Meetup:

  • Date: Saturday, November 7
  • Time: 12-3pm
  • Location: Centurion Lounge (Terminal 3, near Gate 74)

Good morning everyone, I recently learned about a new travel website called ExitFares which aggregates all the best airline deal sites like The Flight Deal, Airfare Watch Dog, and many smaller sites.  After you create a free account, you can receive daily emails with only deals from your chosen cities.  I selected Los Angeles and San Francisco and received 9 flight deals on the first day.  If you are interested in checking in out, please create an ExitFares account.

TransferCar Part 4: Epic RV Journey through California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, and Colorado

Good morning everyone, welcome to Part 4 (last part, I promise) of my TransferCar RV rental experience.  A few months ago, I learned about TransferCar and wrote an introduction post about the service.  A few weeks after that, I had the opportunity to book my first one way RV rental from Los Angeles to Denver.  The following week, my brother and I embarked on a 6 day, 1,789 mile journey through 5 states.  In this post (late by 2+ months), I will share some of the pictures from our epic journey.  If you want to learn more about TransferCar, please read parts 1-3.  My brother used a GPS app on his phone to track our progress from Los Angles to Denver.

Search and Use a Hilton Free Weekend Night Certificate (Citi Credit Card Perk)

Good afternoon everyone.  I recently redeemed my Hilton Free Weekend Night Certificate which I got for spending $10,000 on my Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve Credit Card within a card member year.  This post will show you how to search for available award space and redeem your Free Weekend Night Certificate.

You should receive a similar email from Hilton roughly 4-6 weeks after your annual fee is billed to your Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve Credit Card (assuming you met the $10,000 spending requirement).  The Free Weekend Night Certificate looks like this and is linked to your Hilton HHonors number.  If you accidentally delete or misplace this email, you should be able to call Hilton and they will be able to see your Free Weekend Night Certificate.  You must book travel and complete your stay between the issue date and expiration date.  There is no way to extend the Free Weekend Night Certificate even by 1 day.
