Buy Miles/Points Promos Ending Soon: British Airways (50%), Choice Hotels (30%) & Hilton Hotels (100%)

Good afternoon everyone.  I was working on my Buy Miles & Points Page and found a few offers ending in the next week.  Always check the math to make sure that buying miles & points makes sense for you.  Do not buy miles & points speculatively unless you have a use in mind.  With that said, here are 3 buy miles/points promos ending soon.  First up, British Airways is offering a 50% bonus, no matter how many British Airways Avios purchases.  This offer expires tomorrow – May 21.

Keep, Cancel or Convert? Chase Marriott Bonvoy Premier Plus Business Credit Card ($99 Annual Fee)

Good morning everyone.  As part of my “Keep, Cancel or Convert?” series, I like to evaluate and reevaluate credit cards to make sure they still deserve a spot in my wallet (or credit card drawer).  In today’s post, I will share my thoughts regarding my Chase Marriott Bonvoy Premier Plus Business Credit Card (no longer available for new members), that was previously called the Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Business Credit Card.  I was just charged the $99 annual fee and need to decide if this credit card is worth keeping for another year.

Use Chase Southwest Airlines Priority Credit Card to Purchase SWA Upgraded Boarding (4 Free Annually)

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a great Mother’s Day weekend.  I flew Southwest Airlines down to Orange County to visit my family for the weekend.  I also had the chance to use my Chase Southwest Airlines Priority Credit Card to purchase an upgraded boarding position (A1-A15) for my flight.  I normally do not purchase upgraded boarding (I can usually get an A or early B boarding position when I check in), but the Chase Southwest Airlines Priority Credit Card provides 4 free upgraded boarding credits every year and my annual fee was coming up soon.  On my May statement, I saw this message about the $149 annual fee that is scheduled to post on June 1.

If I pay an annual fee on a credit card, I like to maximize all the benefits/features and get my money’s worth.  Here are all the benefits/features of the Chase Southwest Airlines Priority Credit Card, including the 4 free upgraded boardings every year.

Sell Your eBay Items Faster! Send Offers to Buyers Watching your Items

Good afternoon everyone.  A few weeks ago, Vihn at Miles Per Day wrote an article called Ebay adds the ability to edit prices and quantities to all active listings on one page.  I have been using that repricing feature for several weeks and thought all eBay sellers were aware of that feature, but apparently not.  I have also been using a new eBay selling feature where you can send offers to buyers who are watching your eBay items.  Historically, only eBay buyers could make offers to eBay sellers, not the other way around.  It looks like eBay is experimenting with this new feature.  I haven’t had great success (maybe eBay buyers are unfamiliar with this new feature or the offers I made are not attractive enough to eBay buyers – I don’t know).  But I will show you how to send eBay offers to buyers watching your items.  Sign into your eBay account, click on the Listings tab, and then click on Active (to view all active eBay listings).
