How to Redeem Chase IHG Rewards Club Premier / Select Credit Card Free Night Certificate

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  My fiance and I live in the North Bay (about an hour north of San Francisco), so we decided to do a mini staycation in San Francisco so we could go see Beach Blanket Babylon (a San Francisco classic) and do some shopping near Union Square.  I have both the Chase IHG Rewards Club Select Credit Card (no longer available – $49 annual fee) and the Chase IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card ($89 annual fee).  I had an unrestricted free night certificate available on my Chase IHG Rewards Club Select Credit Card and wanted to splurge and stay at a nice IHG property.  To get started, I went to the IHG website, filled in my hotel search, checked the Reward Nights option, and clicked the Search button.

PSA: Make Sure to Convert / Upgrade to US Bank Radisson Rewards Premier Visa Signature Credit Card

Good morning everyone.  A few years ago, Club Carlson / Radisson Rewards credit cards were awesome because you could redeem points and get your last night free.  If you booked a 2 night stay, you got 50% off the total price.  Well, it was too good to last, so Club Carlson / Radisson Rewards got rid of that benefit.  A lot of people burned all their points and closed their credit cards, but I decided to keep my Club Carlson / Radisson Rewards credit cards.  To make thing confusing, there are 4 US Bank issued Radisson Rewards credit cards (3 personal and 1 business).

For the longest time, I had the US Bank Radisson Rewards Premier Visa Signature Credit Card ($75 annual fee) and the US Bank Radisson Rewards Business Visa Credit Card ($60 annual fee).  Both of these credit cards offer 40,000 anniversary bonus points every year, just for paying the annual fees.  For $135 in annual fees, I could get 80,000 Radisson Rewards points every year.  Since I wanted more cheap Radisson Rewards points, I decided to apply for the US Bank Radisson Rewards Visa Signature Credit Card ($50 annual fee) and then upgrade to the US Bank Radisson Rewards Premier Visa Signature Credit Card ($75 annual fee) in the future.  As luck would have it, I wasn’t approved for the US Bank Radisson Rewards Visa Signature Credit Card ($50 annual fee), but instead, I was approved for the US Bank Radisson Rewards Visa Credit Card (no annual fee).

Stack Grubhub $10 First Purchase Bonus with American Express Gold Card $10 Dining Credit

Good afternoon everyone.  Earlier today, I wrote How to Enroll in American Express Gold Card Benefits ($120 Dining Credit & $100 Airline Fee Credit).  In that post, I said that I used the $10 monthly Dining Credit for Grubhub.  Grubhub is a food delivery service that will deliver food to you (for a fee) or you can pick up your food (without a fee).  I decided to sign up for Grubhub and use my American Express Gold Card (my referral link) to get the $10 Dining Credit.  Grubhub recently joined Ebates / Rakuten, but only in their app.  As you can see, when I search Ebates / Rakuten on my PC for Grubhub, nothing shows up…

But when I use the Ebates / Rakuten app, I can see Grubhub.  If you are not an Ebates / Rakuten member, you can create a free Rakuten account here (my referral link).  After you join Rakuten, download the app (iOS or Android) and go to the Grubhub page.  If you are a new Grubhub user (like I was), you can earn $10 cash back on your first order.  If you are a repeat Grubhub user, you only get 1% cash back.

How to Enroll in American Express Gold Card Benefits ($120 Dining Credit & $100 Airline Fee Credit)

Good morning everyone. Yesterday, I wrote Unboxing my American Express Gold Card: Card Art & Welcome Documents and How to Activate & Set Up American Express Gold Card in AMEX Online Account.  In this post, I will go through the benefits of the American Express Gold Card (my referral link) and show you how to enroll in 2 important benefits: $120 Dining Credit & $100 Airline Fee Credit.  To get started, sign into your American Express online account, click on your Gold Card and then click the Benefits link to go to the Benefits page.  As you can see, these 2 benefits require you to enroll in them before the benefits kick in, so make sure you do this right away.
