I got a gift from Roy! Strange but true, my friend Roy knows I am a Roy’s Restaurant fan so he gets a kick out of buying me a holiday gift card from Roy’s each year. He signs the card “from your two favorite Roys”! Wonderful to have friends named Roy :) This year my friend Roy got lucky!

$5 Starbucks Gift Card from ParkMobile & MasterCard
Updated 5:20pm PT on 12/9: I received the $5 Starbucks email from ParkMobile on December 7, which was 7-8 days after completing the promo requirements.
Updated 7pm PT on 12/4: I just received an email from ParkMobile stating that I completed the ParkMobile / MasterCard promo and that I will receive an email in 3 business days with a $5 Starbucks gift card. Scroll down to see the email.
Good afternoon everyone. ParkMobile is an app (iOS or Google) to pay for parking and it is very popular in the San Francisco Bay Area. A few days ago, I received an email from ParkMobile with details of a promotion they are running with MasterCard. If you add a new MasterCard credit card to your ParkMobile account, you will get a $5 Starbucks gift card (I’m not sure if it is a physical gift card or an eGC) after you pay for a parking session. The details of the promo do not specify the minimum parking price to qualifying for the $5 Starbucks gift card.
Who Sells Uber Gift Cards?
Have you ever been in the “know” about a topic only to find out you were in the “how did I NOT know about this” with that very same topic? Even though, thanks to Harry, our Uber insider, I’m totally in the know when it comes to all things Uber, I’m not an Uber user myself.
But my cousin is! She uses Uber a lot. So when I wanted to get her a special present, being the practical cousin that I am, I thought an Uber gift card would be the perfect gift. I figured Uber had gift cards since every business these days has gift cards. But I had no idea which stores carried them.
I’m not late to the party of people who enjoy earning extra miles and points on purchases, though it’s entirely possible I am late to the party in knowing about this Uber link. So just in case you’re like me and need gift cards for those Uber using special people in your life (or even for yourself), take a look at this link. I don’t like showing up to stores and finding they don’t carry the gift cards I’m shopping for, and I’d imagine you don’t either. Here’s the link to find a store near you. Just plug in a zip code and you’re good to go. And please, don’t tell my cousin about her upcoming gift!
Some TPM Sellers Who Liquidated GCs Receive GiftCard Mart Demand Letter
Today, we received a copy of a letter that was sent out to certain individuals that sold gift cards to TPM. In the image, you can see that GiftCard Mart has conducted some inquiries and determined certain persons sold gift cards to TPM, and then liquidated the cards. The problem is GiftCard Mart had purchased these gift cards from TPM. Talk in private groups of how TPM sellers could recover from losses incurred when TPM checks either bounced or never arrived resulted in the idea that since the monies were never received, or not enough monies were received for cards sold to TPM, the seller could simply liquidate any of the cards that had remaining balances and recover some of their losses.

I have been to a few of these Meetup events and they are always very fun and informative. If you are in the Denver / Front Range area, please join us this weekend. Please RSVP to the Meetup event so the organizers can tell the restaurant how many people to expect. I’m looking forward to drinking some good beers, seeing some familiar faces, and meeting new travel hackers. Cheers!
