Good afternoon everyone. If you can read and understand the title, you are an experienced travel hacker / MSer. My friend Mike sent me a picture of a current promotion running at his local Von’s (Safeway) grocery store. Purchase $150 or more in Visa or American Express Gift Cards and you will revive a coupon for $15 off your next $25 grocery purchase. The promo is running from November 4 to 17 and the coupon must be redeemed within 7 days of your gift card purchase. Assuming you buy gift cards on the last day of the promo (November 17), you have until November 24 (2 days before Thanksgiving) to redeem the coupon. This coupon could be great if you have lots of Thanksgiving grocery store purchases to make. I don’t know if you can redeem more than 1 coupon per transaction, but get creative.

Good morning everyone. A few days ago, I wrote Discover Honors ApplePay Gift Card Purchases as “One-Time Courtesy” through 9/17/2015. In that post, I showed a few emails I received from Discover saying that they would provide a “one-time courtesy” for 2 different purchases made on September 17 and 18. I was hoping to see the “one-time courtesy” credits post to my Discover It Credit Card statement in November (which closed on November 6), but that did not happen.
I only received $8.69 as “ApplePay 10% Cash Back Bonus” on my November statement. The rest of my cash back was earned “Everywhere Else.”

SFO Centurion Lounge
I will arrive at SFO between 11:30am and 12pm. If you get there before I do, please tell the front desk that you are here for the Travel with Grant meetup (I have a few tables reserved). We can then grab lunch and drinks. We can talk about miles, points, and travel for the next 2 hours. The lounge manager will provide a behind-the-scenes tour of the lounge from 2:30-3pm.
