Ultimate Guide to CNB City National Crystal Visa Infinite Credit Card Benefits [Very Long Post]

Good morning everyone.  A few days ago, I wrote Unboxing My CNB City National Crystal Visa Infinite Credit Card: Card Art, Welcome Letter & Brochure.  In that post, I mentioned a few of the credit card benefits, but I was surprised to learn that there are tons of card benefits.  In this ultimate guide to the CNB City National Crystal Visa Infinite Credit Card benefits, I will go through every single lifestyle (aka travel) benefit and share my thoughts on each benefit.  Forewarning, this post is really long and probably really boring, so proceed with caution.  Let’s get started by going to the CNB Visa Infinite page and click the Log In button.

Come Visit Me at FTU Sydney!

Sorry in advance for the short notice!

I found out just a couple of weeks ago that I was planning to be in Sydney at the same time as the Frequent Traveler University is happening this year. And even better, just last weekend, I agreed to come on as a last minute addition to the already awesome list of speakers!

FTU Sydney is happening this coming weekend – November 17 – 18, 2018, and I would absolutely love to see you there! Now, I know that it’s pretty unlikely that anyone is going to book last minute flights to Sydney to see me speak at the FTU, but it would be so fun to see some friendly faces that already happen to be in Sydney! Do You Know How To Set Up A Kayak Price Alert?

Are you a savvy travel consumer? We all like to think we are but truth be told, sometimes I am and sometimes I fall way short. Seems to me one of the indicators of travel savviness is whether or not we use price alerts. I’ve written many times about my favorite site that offer us alerts on hotels. For price alerts on flights and fares though, Kayak’s site seems to be very popular. We never know if setting alerts will in fact get us lower prices and save us money, but if you don’t HAVE to purchase a fare right away, setting alerts can catch a price dip. Also, once you set them, you’re done and all you have to do is watch, learn, and purchase. Continue reading

$50 Off SELECT Membership: Exclusive Discounts on Airlines, Hotels, Restaurants, Events & More

Good morning everyone, happy Friday!  A few weeks ago, I was at the Chicago Seminars travel conference and learned about SELECT, an elite membership that offers exclusive discounts on travel, dining, events and much more.  According to their website, “SELECT members enjoy unpublished rates at over 500,000 hotels & resorts and VIP perks and treatment at thousands of premier restaurants, travel partners, nightlife venues, retailers, and experiences. Enjoy airfare discounts, rental car savings, complimentary elite status and more – opportunities you won’t find offered to the general public.”  Here are some of the benefits SELECT members have access to:

  • 5% off Hawaiian Airlines flights
  • 12% off Air New Zealand flights
  • 20% off Silvercar
  • 15% off Hyatt
  • 15% off Brooks Brothers
  • 30% off Tumi
  • 25% off Tommy Bahama
  • 15% off Bose and much more.

I signed up for a SELECT membership since they were running a promotion at the Chicago Seminars.  You can get a $50 discount by using my SELECT link.  As you can see, there are 8 distinct headings when you sign into your SELECT account.  I will go through each heading and show you a sample deal available.  I did not pick and choose the best deals from each heading, just deals that stood out to me.  Lastly, new deals are constantly being added to SELECT, so check back often.  Under the Hotels heading, they offer up to 70% off bookings at 200,000+ hotels and 10% cash back at 300,000+ hotels.

Unboxing my CNB City National Crystal Visa Infinite Credit Card: Card Art, Welcome Letter & Brochure

Good morning everyone.  2 weeks ago, I visited my local City National Bank (CNB) branch and applied for the City National Crystal Visa Infinite Credit Card.  The credit card currently offers 75,000 City National Rewards Points after spending $5,000 in 3 months, plus $250 airline credit per cardmember, unlimited Priority Pass access, the Visa Infinite $100 companion travel discount, and much more.  Please check out Frequent Miler’s post and Doctor of Credit’s post to learn more about this credit card.

After waiting more than a week without hearing if I was approved or denied, I called CNB to check the status of my application.  I was told that I was approved for the credit card on November 2 and the credit card would arrive soon.  2 days later, I received the credit card via FedEx on November 6.  In this post, I will go through the unboxing process, show you my welcome letter, show you the brochure, and where to sign up for online access and to start earning City Nation Rewards Points.  But first, here is the card art from the front and back of the City National Crystal Visa Infinite Credit Card.  The credit card information is on the back, but when I blacked it out, you cannot see where it used to be.
