Redeem Virgin Atlantic Miles for Virgin America Award Flights (Complete Route Network from SFO)

Good morning everyone.  Last week, I was talking to a friend about converting Virgin Atlantic miles into Hilton HHonors points (2:3 transfer ratio).  If you are interested in the transfer process, here is a post I wrote about the process.  My *wise* friend reminded me that Virgin Atlantic miles could be used for travel on Virgin America (an airlines I fly frequently from SFO).  When I looked at the Virgin Atlantic award chart for travel on Virgin America, I only saw 14 routes to/from San Francisco.  What about the other Virgin America routes to/from San Francisco?

Disclaimer: This post only focuses on Virgin America routes to/from SFO, but you can follow the same steps below to find routes from your home airport.  I only researched Main Cabin (aka economy class) awards on Virgin America, not Main Cabin Select or First Class award prices.  Lastly, Virgin Atlantic can only book Virgin America award flights if there is award space available, so YMMV.

Strange Approval for Bank of America Alaska Airlines Credit Card (Credit Lines Lowered/Moved)

Good afternoon everyone, a few days ago I did an App-O-Rama (full details and results to come).  One of my credit card applications was for a Bank of America Alaska Airlines Credit Card.  I was instantly approved online for a $9,000 credit line.  If you are approved for a credit line over $5,000, you will receive the Visa Signature version that comes with a 25,000 Alaska Airlines miles sign up bonus on approval.  I will also get a $100 statement credit after spending $1,000 on the card within 3 months.  That is not the interesting part of the story though…

Check Bank of America’s BankAmeriDeals for Targeted Spending Offers

Good morning everyone, TGI Friday!  A few days ago, I was reminded by my friend W. to check my BankAmeriDeals that were linked to my Bank of America online account.  Similar to AMEX Offers, BankAmeriDeals are usually cash back deals from various merchants.  To view your BankAmeriDeals, log into your Bank of America online account and click the Special Offers & Details tab at the top of the page.  These offers are targeted based on your spending behavior, so your offers may differ from mine.  Here are the current BankAmeriDeals for my account:

More Info Regarding Chime Card Loads After October 8 and my App-O-Rama Planning

Literally a few minutes before writing this post, I received the following email from Chime regarding the previously announced changes to debit card loads (link). Starting October 8, you will be able to load up to $200 per day, with a minimum load amount of $25.  If you use a debit card from Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, U.S. Bank, Comerica Bank, or USAA, your debit card loads will remain free.  If you use a different debit card (including the PayPal Business Debit Card), you will *most likely* get hit with a “fee of up to 3%” per load.  We still need to wait and see what Chime does regarding the PayPal Business Debit Card.  If you use a debit card from one of the previously mentioned banks, the October 8 change will benefit you.
