Statement Credits Post Fast for $100 Shop with Dell Benefit + Dell 10% Cash Back AMEX Offer

Good afternoon everyone.  Last week, I wrote American Express Business Platinum Stack: $100 Shop with Dell Benefit + Dell 10% Cash Back AMEX Offer.  Fast forward to yesterday, I received my Dell order and my $100 Shop with Dell statement credit, along with the $10.74 cash back earned from the Dell 10% cash back AMEX Offer.  When the dust had all settled, my American Express Business Platinum Charge Card has a credit balance of $3.32 (the closer your order came to exactly $100, the greater your credit balance will be).

Trip Report: Skopje, Macedonia (FYROM) is My Favorite Eastern European Capital

Good afternoon everyone.  Last week, I published 2 trip report posts about my recent EuroTrip (Visit Chisinau, Moldova & Transnistria (Breakaway State / Frozen Conflict Zone) and 6 Hour Layover in Bucharest, Romania? Visit Palace of the Parliament (Second Largest Building in the World)).  Today is the third and final trip report post about my experience visiting Skopje, the capital of Macedonia (FYROM = Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia). My friend and I had a rental car and made the 3-4 hour drive from Sofia, Bulgaria to Skopje, Macedonia.  We stayed 2 nights at the beautiful Skopje Marriott Hotel, using 10,000 Marriott Rewards points per night.  Thanks to Marriott elite status, we were upgraded to a suite with complimentary access to the lounge (snacks, drinks, desserts, etc) and complimentary breakfast in the hotel restaurant.  Here is a photo from inside the spacious lounge and the view outside the lounge.

February Buy Miles/Points Promos: JetBlue (50%), American (10%), Choice (30%), Alaska (40%), Hyatt (30%), Hilton (100%) & IHG (75%)

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  I was working on my Buy Miles & Points Page and found a few offers ending this month.  Always check the math to make sure that buying miles & points makes sense for you.  Do not buy miles & points speculatively unless you have a use in mind.  With that said, here are several buy miles/points promos that are ending this month.  First up, JetBlue is offering up to a 50% bonus, depending on the number of JetBlue TrueBlue points you purchase.  This offer expires today – February 4.

American Express Changes Details of Cash Advances, Contactless Transactions & Business Gold Card Top Categories

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  I was reviewing my recent American Express statements and saw a few changes that I wanted to bring to your attention.  As far as I can tell, none of these changes are major, but if you see anything that stands out to you, please let me know in the comments.  There were 3 changes to details regarding cash advances, contactless transactions, and the American Express Business Gold Card.  These notices appeared on all of my American Express cards.  The first change is regarding cash advances.  I wasn’t able to find the current definition of cash advances, but the new definition of cash advances includes “cash equivalents” and I am not sure if that means gift cards or not.
