American Express Business Gold Card Changes: New 4X Categories, $240 Flexible Business Credit & Walmart+ Subscription

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your week is going well.  I just noticed that the American Express Business Gold Card made some changes to their 4x AMEX Membership Rewards Points earning categories, added a $240 Flexible Business Credit ($20 / month at either FedEx, Grubhub, or at office supply stores), and is offering a $12.95 / month credit to offset the $12.95 / month Walmart+ Subscription.  Let’s go through these changes so you can see if these new benefits are useful.  You can see these benefits on the Benefits tab in your AMEX online account.  Let’s look at the 4x categories first.

2 PSAs: Lowe’s Lowest Price Guarantee (Price Match) via Online Chat & Limit of 5 Gift Cards per Online Order

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your week is going well.  Last weekend, Laura and I decided to get a refrigerator for our garage.  After looking at a few options at our local Lowe’s store, we decided to buy the Frigidaire Garage-Ready 18.3-cu ft Top-Freezer Refrigerator (Stainless Steel).  The dimensions, price, and awesome reviews made the decision easy.  The refrigerator was on sale for $799, but I decided to double check the price on Home Depot to see if it was cheaper.  Much to my surprise, the same refrigerator (Frigidaire 30 in. 18.3 cu. ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator in Stainless Steel) was on sale for $718, a difference of $81.

I had a few Lowe’s gift cards that I purchased at a discount and Lowe’s was offering 3% cash back for appliances last weekend via online shopping portals, so I wanted to order through the Lowe’s website, but I wanted to have Lowe’s match Home Depot’s price.  In this post, I will show you how to the Lowe’s price match process worked and the 5 gift card limit per online order I encountered.

What New Features or Benefits would make InKind Even Better?

Good afternoon everyone.  InKind has made several improvements over the months since I first started using the app in November 2022. I am a big fan of their referral program, the ability to split the bill into 25%, 33%, 50%, 66%, and 75% portions makes going out to dinner with others much easier, the introduction of the InKind Rewards program with targeted challenges, the ability to share / transfer / gift your InKind balance to other members, and their latest AMEX Offer where you can try the InKind Pass free for a year.  With all those great features, I am sure there is still much room to grow.

In terms of new features I would like to see, I would love the ability to pay the tip portion of the bill with InKind credits (I would probably tip a larger percentage) and the addition of more restaurants that are on the InKind platform.  Some cities have many InKind restaurants available, while other cities have only 1-2 choices.

I also have some pretty far-fetched ideas for InKind…

AMEX Offer InKind Pass Annual Subscription, Terms & Conditions, and Enrollment Process

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  InKind is out with a new AMEX Offer that says “Spend $100 or more, get $100 back” for an InKind Pass Annual Subscription.  So what exactly is this InKind Pass Annual Subscription and how does this offer work?  If you are new to InKind, you can get a $25 InKind credit after you spend $50 or more with InKind when you use my InKind referral link (https://app.inkind.com/refer/DB06KWHX).

To get started, log into your American Express account and add this offer to one of your cards.  I added it to my American Express Business Gold Card since I will earn 4x on the transaction since InKind purchases usually code as restaurants.  Let’s check out the offer terms for more details of this AMEX Offer.

How to Share / Transfer / Gift your Existing InKind Balance to Another InKind Member

Good afternoon everyone, happy Friday!  I’ve been a long time fan of InKind since November 2022 when there was an InKind AMEX Offer that provided a $50 statement credit when you spent $50 with InKind.  There have been several other InKind offers like that over the year and there is currently an InKind Chase Offer that is offering a $150 statement credit after spending $250 with InKind.  If you are new to InKind, you can get a $25 InKind credit after you spend $50 or more with InKind when you use my InKind referral link (https://app.inkind.com/refer/DB06KWHX).  If you have a healthy InKind balance and want to share the love, you can share / transfer / gift your InKind balance to another InKind member.

To get started, open the InKind app and click the Wallet icon.  The InKind Pass balance shows how much you can share with another member using your existing balance.  Unfortunately, InKind Rewards balances are not currently allowed to be shared. To share your balance, click the Gifting icon and then click Share your Balance.  If you want to send more than your existing balance, you can click the Purchase a Gift Card to Send.
