When will the $650 Statement Credit Post for the Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card?

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  I was in Washington, D.C. over the weekend for the third annual Boarding Area Conference (BACON for short).  I learned a lot and have a lot of work to do to get my blog to the next level.  The Boarding Area team and myself will be making changes to the site, so you may notice a few minor changes to the header and sidebar over the next few weeks.  If any of the changes look bad or don’t work as well as they did before, please let me know and I will take a look at the issue.

Without further ado, let’s talk about the $650 statement credit that is the sign up bonus for the Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card.  My credit card statement just closed a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised / anxiously waiting for the statement credit to post to my account.  If you followed my instructions on How to Purchase New Apple iPhone 7 with Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card, you should be fine.

Striking out on Citi Prestige and AMEX Platinum Retention Offers

Good morning everyone, I hope your weekend is off to a great start.  By the time you read this post, I should be in Washington, D.C. for the Boarding Area Conference (BACON for short).  I am a big fan of retention offers and have written about them several times in the past (1, 2, 3, etc).  My most recent retention offer attempts were met with mostly rejection, but I have some data points worth sharing.

I haven’t used my Citi Prestige Credit Card much over the last few months and only value the ability to book AA and AA codeshare flights with Citi Thank You Points at 1.6 CPP.  I decided to call Citi and see if there were any retention offers available.  My opening line was, “I am considering applying for the Chase Sapphire Reserve and can’t afford to pay $400 annual fees for both cards.  Is there any offer on my Citi Prestige to keep me as a customer?”  I was immediately transferred to the retention department and repeated my opening line.  The retention specialist was very nice and helpful, but she didn’t have any retention offers available.  She said that retention offers can only be accepted once per cardmember year and I already accepted an offer on my Citi Prestige in May.  While on the phone, I asked if she could check for retention offers on my other Citi credit cards.  We went through my Citi Forward, Citi Premier, Citi Double Cash, and Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve credit cards and struck out every time (I was only eligible for 0% balance transfer and 0% APR offers which don’t interest me at all).  Last but not least, I asked if there were any offers on my new(ish) Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card.  Jackpot!  There was an offer for 5,000 bonus Citi Thank You Points after spending $1,000 over the next 3 months.  I gladly accepted the offer and thanked the rep for all her help.

Final Month Review: Calculate Progress Toward Chase Freedom Q3 Restaurant Spend

Good morning everyone, I hope your weekend is off to a great start.  Last month, I wrote 3 Ways to Calculate Progress Toward Chase Freedom Q3 Restaurant Spend.  In that post, I showed how to calculate restaurant spend on your Chase Freedom Credit Card to see where you stand regarding the $1,500 Q3 bonus spend limit.  Over the last few weeks, I made a few large restaurant purchases, so I wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to far above the $1,500 bonus spend limit (all restaurant spend after $1,500 only earns 1% cash back or 1 Chase Ultimate Reward Point per dollar).

I logged into my Chase online account, went to my Chase Freedom Credit Card, clicked on Blueprint and looked at all my restaurant purchases over the last few months.  If you are unfamiliar with Chase Blueprint, click the link above to see step by step instructions.  I added up all the monthly totals for restaurants and I am currently at $1,671.95.  Depending on your statement due date, you may want to adjust your July restaurant total if you made restaurant purchases in June (I only made restaurant purchases after July 1 on my Chase Freedom Credit Card).

How to Purchase New Apple iPhone 7 with Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card

Good evening everyone, happy Friday (aka Apple iPhone 7 / 7 Plus pre-order day)!  In this post, I will show you step-by-step instructions on how to purchase a new iPhone 7 using your Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card.  Unfortunately, this credit card is not currently accepting new applications, but hopefully Citi / AT&T bring in back in the near future.  The sign up bonus on this credit card is great – purchase a new AT&T phone and get reimbursed up to $650.  Luckily or unluckily, the new iPhone 7 is a little more expensive than $650, so I will get the full $650 statement credit.  In July, I shared some info about the AT&T Credit Card card art and earning details, but if you want to learn *absolutely everything* about this credit card, please read Doctor of Credit’s post: All you need to know about Citi AT&T $650 Phone Offer.

To purchase your new iPhone 7 with your Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card, log into your Citi online account and go to your Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card.  You should see a little box with a View Offer link.  Click that link to get started.
