Quick & Easy Status Match to Sonesta Travel Pass Platinum Status

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you had a great Fourth of July weekend.  A few days ago, I was reading Frequent Miler’s post Complete Guide to Sonesta Travel Pass and read in the comments by McGeoffroy that Sonesta was offering a status match to their top tier Sonesta Platinum Status.  McGeoffroy was able to match Hyatt Globalist Status to Sonesta Platinum Status.  I don’t have Hyatt Globalist Status, so I was curious what other hotel program and elite tiers Sonesta would match.  Here is what I learned about the status match process.

Discounted Cirque du Soleil Tickets in Las Vegas, InKind & Resy Credits, and Redeeming 60K Caesars Rewards Points Toward Paid Hotel Stay

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your week is going well.  Yesterday, I wrote about My Las Vegas Casino Status Matches: Caesars Diamond > Wynn Platinum > Fontainebleau Gold > MGM Gold > Unity by Hard Rock Icon.  In today’s post, I will cover riding the Las Vegas Monorail, getting 20% off Cirque du Soleil tickets, using InKind and Resy credits for the same restaurant, and redeeming 60,000 Caesars Rewards Points toward my paid hotel stay at the Paris Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Monorail (save more with multi trip passes)

After walking from the Paris Las Vegas up to the Fontainebleau, we didn’t want to walk all the way back, so we decided to take the Las Vegas Monorail back to our hotel.  Since we had dinner reservations back at Don’s Prime (inside the Fontainebleau) in a few hours, we decided to get a 1 Day Pass (unlimited rides within 24 hours) for $15 / ticket.  It was about a 13-15 minute walk from the Fontainebleau to the Westgate Monorail Station, then only a 10-12 minute ride back to the Paris Las Vegas.  If you have a prepaid commuter debit card, you can use it on the Las Vegas Monorail.

My Las Vegas Casino Status Matches: Caesars Diamond > Wynn Platinum > Fontainebleau Gold > MGM Gold > Unity by Hard Rock Icon

Good evening everyone, I hope you had a great Memorial Day Weekend.  Over the weekend, Laura and I stayed at the Paris Las Vegas, I completed a few casino status matches, we had some nice brunches and dinners, and we saw 2 Cirque Du Soleil shows.  I will write more about our time in Las Vegas in a future post, but first, let me get this post out since it is time sensitive.  I carefully read and followed Nick’s post (Planning an epic status match run in Las Vegas) and this is what we did:

1: Caesars Rewards Diamond

As a reminder, I originally matched my Wyndham Rewards Diamond to Caesars Rewards Diamond thanks to having the Barclays Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Credit Card ($95 annual fee).  I stopped by the Caesars Rewards desk inside the Paris Las Vegas casino and picked up my new Caesars Rewards Diamond card.  My previous card expired 01/2024.

5 Buy Miles / Points Promos Ending Soon: United Airlines (50%), Wyndham Hotels (25%), Spirit (60%), Avianca (160%) & Hilton (80%)

Good afternoon everyone, happy Memorial Day Weekend!  I was working on my Buy Miles & Points Page and found 5 offers that end this month.  Always check the math to make sure that buying miles & points makes sense for you.  Do not buy miles & points speculatively unless you have a use in mind.  With that said, here are 5 offers that end soon.

Up first, United Airlines is offering up to a 50% discount, depending on the number of United Airlines MileagePlus Miles you purchase.  This offer expires on May 28.

Transfer Limits & Times for Wyndham Rewards to Caesars Rewards; No Taxes on Hotels Booked with Points

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your week is going well.  I am planning a trip to Las Vegas in the coming weeks and wanted to stay on the Las Vegas Strip at a Caesars Rewards property since I can use my Caesars Diamond Elite Status to get waived resort fees and easy access to the $100 Celebration Dinner voucher.  I am also planning on doing a few status matches to other casino programs and following the excellent guide created by Nick at Frequent Miler.

I also did some research on Caesars Rewards redemption options and you can use Caesars Rewards Points to pay for your hotel booking (during the booking process) and also during the hotel check-out process.  That lead me down the rabbit who to learn how the process worked and how long point transfers from Wyndham Rewards take to post to Caesars Rewards.
