Changing Club Carlson Reservations made with Last Night Free Promo are Pricey

Good morning everyone, I have a confession.  I am not perfect.  I make (plenty of) mistakes.  Let me explain.  I was trying to help my parents and utilize the Club Carlson Last Night Free promo before it expired on June 1.  I mistakenly booked 2 2-night reservations for the wrong month.  I meant to book hotels in July, but for some reason, I made the reservations for June.  I meant to book 2 nights at the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden.  During the Last Night Free promo, I could get 2 nights for only 50,000 Club Carlson Points total.

When I called the Club Carlson Member Services Desk (1-888-288-8889), the rep said it was not possible to change the reservation without paying the difference in points.  The new reservation for 2 nights would be 140,000 Club Carlson Points total, an increase of *only* 90,000 Club Carlson Points.  Since I did not have enough Club Carlson Points (or want to pay an additional 90,000 Club Carlson Points), I decided to cancel the reservation and get back the original 50,000 Club Carlson Points.

Instantly Combine or Transfer Club Carlson Points with a Simple Call

Good morning everyone, call me a procrastinator, but I just started booking my Club Carlson hotels last night.  I have 2 Club Carlson accounts (one linked to my US Bank Club Carlson Personal Credit Card and the other linked to my US Bank Club Carlson Business Credit Card).  After draining most of the points from one account, I decided to transfer all the points from one account to the other.  To get started, call the Club Carlson Member Services department at 1-888-288-8889 and press 5 for Member Services.  The office closes at 6PM Central Time, so don’t call too late.

Ever Stayed at Club Carlson Hotels in LHR, CDG, NCE, ZRH, DUB, CPH, OSL, or BGO?

(Hat Tip to Dominik @ Travelling The World for the inspiration)

Good morning everyone, I hope you all had a great Memorial Day Weekend.  With the end of May quickly approaching, I am running out of time to use my Club Carlson points for hotel stays under the current Last Night Free redemption rate.  Therefore, I need your collective help, to help me figure out where to burn my Club Carlson points.  I currently have 275,000 Club Carlson points between my personal and business Club Carlson accounts.  For this post, I used Seth’s Hotel Hustle tool for research.

PSA: Don’t Buy US Bank Visa Gift Cards from Ralphs / Kroger

Good morning everyone, a few days ago, I was at a local Ralphs (Kroger) grocery store in Huntington Beach, CA and bought a $500 Visa Gift Card (issued by US Bank).  I have bought many Visa gift cards before (including the specific gift card design below) and have not had any problems.  Well, my streak has finally come to an end and it was a big pain in the butt to fix.
