Hotel Credit Card Free Night Certificate Comparison Table

Good morning everyone!  With the impending demise of the “old” US Bank Club Carlson Credit Card, I thought it would be a good idea to compare the “new” Club Carlson free night certificate with other free night certificates from other co-brand hotel credit cards.  Here is the table comparing Intercontinental, Hyatt, Marriott, Club Carlson, Hilton, Fairmont, and Starwood:

Stubhub $25 Off a $25+ Purchase (Great for MLB Opening Week)

(Hat Tip to Shawn @ Frequent Miler)

Good evening everyone, I just wanted to share this deal with you all before I went to bed. Stubhub currently has a promo where you can get $25 off a $25+ purchase.  Since baseball opening week is right now, I found some pretty cheap tickets to the SF Giants game for next Tuesday night.  They are giving away Madison Bumgarner Bobbleheads which you can probably sell on Ebay after the game for $20+.  Using the promo code 25OFF, I was able to get tickets for $9.90.  I will also get a chance to test out my CLEAR Card at AT&T Park and let you know how awesome/lame the feature is.

CLEAR Card Experience at DEN and Access to AT&T Park for SF Giants Games

Good morning everyone, happy Good Friday (or just happy Friday since all Friday’s are good).  I wanted to share my experience using my CLEAR Card at the Denver Airport.  The process is pretty simple.  Walk to the TSA screening area and look for the CLEAR line (hint: it will be the line with no one waiting).  Walk to the front and present your CLEAR Card to the agent.  He will put the card in the machine and ask you to scan your finger print or do an iris scan.  I have a hard time using finger print scanners, but the iris scanner worked fine.  I then showed my mobile boarding pass to the other TSA Pre-Check agent and proceeded through the metal detector.  I did not need to show my drivers license (my iris scan is proof enough).

Winners Announced for RV Driving Distance and Poll Question Regarding US Bank FlexPoints

Good morning everyone, thank you to the 92 of you who entered my latest contest for a chance to win one of 3 $10 Amazon eGift Cards.  I asked you to guess how many miles I drove in the RV from Los Angles to Denver and the correct answer is 1,789 miles.  The digital odometer only goes up to 1,000, but I can assure you the distance was 1,789 total miles driven.

March App-O-Rama Updates: US Airways, British Airways, Alaska Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, and FlexPerks AMEX

Good morning everyone, happy April Fool’s Day.  No pranks today for me, I don’t have time for those.  Before I went on my RV road trip, I did a mini App-O-Rama in mid March and it’s been almost 2 weeks, so I can now share all my results.  If you have been reading my blog for a while, you probably know about my ongoing battle with Barclays.  I have applied for 5-6 Barclays credit cards over the last 2 years or so and have been denied every time.  Since the Barclays US Airways Credit Card is going away very soon, I thought I would try for that card one more time.  The sign up bonus is 50,000 US Airways miles (now those are 50,000 American Airlines miles) after your first purchase.
