AMEX Offers for Dropbox, Adobe, Sleepys, Timberland & More

Good morning everyone, a few days ago I wrote New AMEX Offers: $50 Off $200 RocketMiles.com, $30 Off $150 Lowe’s, and More.  I have a few new AMEX Offers to share, including Dropbox, Adobe, Sleepys, Timberland, 1800Flowers.com, Vital Choice Seafood and Organic Food, Puritan’s Pride, and Oak Hall.  None of these offers are great for MS unless you are considering Frequent Miler’s post on converting Discover cash back to frequent flier miles.

Introduction to US Bank ScoreBoard Reporting to Analyze Spending Activity

Good morning everyone.  Hot on the heals of Citibank’s New Online Bonus Spend Tracker, US Bank has introduced their own spend tracker called ScoreBoard Reporting (sounds like a sports app to me).  When you log into your US Bank online account, you will see ScoreBoard Reporting listed beneath every US Bank credit and debit card.  I was curious about the new service, so I spent a few minutes playing around with the reporting features.

1 Month Approval Process for US Bank Cash Plus Credit Card

Good morning everyone.  Last month, I wrote July 2015: My 8 Credit Card App-O-Rama Game Plan where I shared my thought process on my upcoming App-O-Rama.  On the list, was the US Bank Cash Plus Credit Card.  The sign up bonus is small ($100 bonus after spending $500 in 3 months), but the 5% rotating cash back categories was intriguing.  This credit card has the potential to generate $400 in cash back every year (5% of $2,000 = $100 x 4 quarters = $400 yearly).  Since I already have the US Bank FlexPerks Visa and AMEX, Club Carlson personal and business, this was the only other US Bank credit card I was interested in.

If you have never applied for a US Bank credit card or have a hard time getting approved for US Bank credit cards, I recommend Freezing your ARS and IDA Credit Reports before applying.  I have had great success after freezing both of these smaller credit bureaus.

When my App-O-Rama date arrived (July 14), I applied for the credit card…

July App-O-Rama Update: Several Reconsideration Calls Required to be Approved for 6 New Credit Cards

Warning: if you are just starting out with rewards-earning credit cards, please do not apply for several credit cards at the same time.  You are responsible for your credit history and credit scores.  You have been warned…

Good evening everyone.  Last month, I wrote July 2015: My 8 Credit Card App-O-Rama Game Plan and I shared my plans/reasoning for applying for the below 8 credit cards.

App O Rama July 2015

After listening to your feedback and suggestions, I decided to make some changes to my App-O-Rama plan.  The table below shows the 7 credits that I ended up applying for.  Here are my reasons for not applying for a few of the credit cards:

  • The Barclays Arrival Plus Credit Card was not available for new applications on my App-O-Rama date.
  • I couldn’t get the targeted 75,000 offer on the AMEX Business Gold Rewards Charge Card, so I decided to wait for a better public offer.
  • I forgot that Citi’s “8 Day Rule” applies to personal and business credit cards, so I decided to apply for the Citi American Airlines Business Credit Card instead of the Citi Hilton HHonors Visa Signature Credit Card.
  • I decided to go for the Bank of America Spirit Airlines Credit Card instead of another Bank of America Virgin Atlantic Credit Card.

Remember to Enroll your Non-AMEX Issued AMEX Cards in AMEX Sync Offers

(Hat Tip to Steven for the email)

Good morning everyone, sorry for being MIA (missing in action) the last few days, my cousin / roommate got married yesterday, so this week has been very busy helping out and picking up relatives from the airport.  I am severely “backblogged” at the moment, but here is a quick reminder in regards to AMEX Offers.  As you probably know, American Express has been quite generous lately with their AMEX Offers (see Smart & Final and SamsClub.com).
