Unboxing Chase IHG Rewards Premier Business Credit Card: Card Art, Welcome Letter, Brochure & Online Activation Process

Good morning everyone.  A few weeks ago, I did a mini app-o-rama and applied for 3 credit cards: Capital One Venture X Credit Card (read post), Chase IHG Rewards Premier Business Credit Card, and Bank of America Alaska Airlines Credit Card (read post).

In this post, I will show you the Chase IHG Rewards Premier Business card art, welcome letter, brochure, and the online activation process.  First things first, here is the front and back of the card.  It is clean and nicely designed.  It has a very similar style as the Chase IHG Rewards Premier Credit Card.

My 2022 Midyear Review of Airline, Hotel & Credit Card Predictions

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you had a great weekend. Much like the corporate world with midyear reviews, I thought it would be fun / embarrassing to do a midyear review of My Wild and Crazy 2022 Airline, Hotel & Credit Card Predictions.  I copied the list from the previous post and will see how many predictions I got correct and how many were dead wrong.  But remember, there is still 6 months left in the year for the remaining predictions to come true…

My 2022 Airline Predictions (1 / 7)

  • Alaska Airlines or Southwest Airlines will bring back their “convert travel funds to airline miles” feature. – I still cannot believe this feature exists but Alaska and Southwest are not using it.
  • American Airlines will return as a Citi ThankYou Points airline transfer partner. – I still cannot believe that Citi can’t get American Airlines to come back to the ThankYou Points portal.
  • Avianca will give Turkish Airlines a run for their money for domestic Star Alliance awards.
  • British Airways will let you use Avios to pay the taxes, fees, and fuel surcharge portion of award tickets.
  • Delta Airlines, Southwest Airlines, or United Airlines will introduce a “Miles and Cash” payment option for award tickets (pay 10,000 miles or pay 8,000 miles + $40).
  • JetBlue will partner with another US airline for award bookings. – Yes, you can book JetBlue flights using American Airlines miles.
  • United Airlines will be a transfer partner with Brex, Citi, or American Express.

3 Buy Miles / Points Promos Ending Soon: Spirit (100%), IHG (80%) & Avianca (150%)

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your week is going well.  I was working on my Buy Miles & Points Page and found 3 offers that end in the next week.  Always check the math to make sure that buying miles & points makes sense for you.  Do not buy miles & points speculatively unless you have a use in mind.  With that said, here are 3 offers that end soon.  Up first, Spirit Airlines is offering up to a 100% bonus, depending on the number of Spirit Airlines Free Spirit Miles you purchase.  This offer expires today – June 8.

Travel with Grant Turns 9 Years Old & My 9 Favorite Posts from the Last Year

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend.  9 years ago today (back on May 1, 2013), Travel with Grant was born!  Even though I am not a full time blogger and writing this post from a tropical beach, I’m still very happy and grateful to still be writing and sharing my thoughts with my readers.  Every year (when I remember), I like to write a birthday / blogiversary post about TWG.  If you want to reminisce through the years, check out these old posts: Year 1Year 2Year 3Year 4Year 5Year 6, no Year 7 (I forgot about it during the pandemic), and Year 8.

I cover a wide variety of travel topics and don’t tend to follow the travel blogging crowd (I think of myself as Dory from Finding Nemo, just swimming around doing my own thing).  Some of these posts were very popular and got lots of pageviews, but others didn’t get as much love as I thought they would.  But without further ado, here are my 9 favorite posts from the last year (May 2021 – April 2022) in chronological order. PSA: Register ASAP for Chase IHG Premier Personal & Business Credit Card $50 United Airlines TravelBank Credit

Good afternoon everyone, happy Friday!  I hope you have exciting Easter, Passover, and Ramadan plans this weekend.  A few weeks ago, the Chase IHG Rewards Premier Credit Card and Chase IHG Rewards Premier Business Credit Card started offering cardholders $50 United Airlines TravelBank Credit each calendar year.  The TravelBank Credit is split into two $25 credits that appear in your United Airlines account twice a year.  I recently booked a United Airlines flight and was excited to use one of the $25 credits to save a few bucks, but it didn’t quite work out for me.  Long story short, you need to register for the benefit first and then wait up to 2 weeks for the first $25 credit to post to your United Airlines account.  Don’t make the same mistake as me and wait until you are ready to book your next United Airlines flight to sign up for the credit.

To get started, go to the IHG / United registration page and click the Sign In button.  As you can see, it says “it may take up to 2 weeks for your registration to take effect.”
